ABOUT KAZ
Karyn McDermott has over 20 years experience in politics, journalism and corporate affairs on three continents.
Born in the U.S.A. of Scottish parents, she became an expatriate at the age of not even one year old, not by choice but by tax avoidances’ as her parents chose to start businesses in Perth, Australia. She spent her youth with the laid back Aussie lifestyle and was educated at the St. Hilda’s School for Girls before going on to obtain a double degree in Politics and Journalism at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia.
Karyn’s interest in politics and serving the public good was realized at University when she was elected as the only right wing candidate from Western Australia to be a delegate at the National Union of Students (NUS). Her education, experience and passion for representing the ideals of free rights and personal independence for all peoples of the world empowered her to seek a career in government policy and politics.
After University, Karyn was instrumental in campaigns at both a state and federal level in Australia for statesman including former Deputy President of the Australian Senate, Noel Creighton- Brown and David Cameron, quite extraordinary for a female less than 30-years old. Given Karyn’s nature, she thinks nothing of it, as she would describe her ‘best job ever’ as working for the Federal Minister for Sport, Tourism and Olympics, and assisting him with the day-to-day planning and coordination to ensure that the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games would be the ‘two weeks that the world would remember for eternity’.
Karyn moved to Scotland in 2002 to attend to her mother and focus on European elections, utilizing her experiences in political campaigns by supporting conservative candidates and contributing to their campaigns in the European political arena.
In 2007, Karyn moved back to the United States to support American conservative issues, and state, local and federal political campaigns. She routinely supports conservative political campaigns and encourages others to converse in free thought and support early-American idealism.
She currently contributes journalistic writings to newspapers, web articles and magazines around the globe; debates social issues on national talk radio and television programs; and operates a national woman-owned events management business located in Richmond, Virginia.
In 2009, Karyn developed “The DailyKaz” as a means to: combat left-wing ideals; promote personal rights, freedom and independence; and actively participate the growing movements that are concerned with America’s future. Basically, The DailyKaz is an outlet for people to view their opinions, in association with the other websites, to exchange ideas on how to bring America back on track.
