THE GREAT GOVERNOR OF NEW JERSEY?

You gotta love Vice President Joe Biden.

The former Senator from Delaware cannot quite work out who the governor of New Jersey is. Good ole Joe, well known for his gaffes (if you type in Biden gaffes into Google your computer is liable to explode) thinks the Chairman of his own Democratic National Committee, one Timothy Kaine from the Commonwealth of Virginia, is the Governor of New Jersey. Nope, he’s the Governor of Virginia and was a front runner for your job Joe.

Odd, given his State is kind of in the vicinity of both New Jersey and Virginia. Guess both the current President and Vice President didn’t pass geography class or happen to have a map handy (Obama claimed during the campaign he visited the 57 States of America with two left to go -oddly Hawaii where he claims to have been born and Alaska. Apparently his staff wouldn’t let him which is kind of weird when you are running for President and thereby Commander in Chief).

Biden introduced Kaine as “the great Governor of New Jersey” this past weekend at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington. My first thought was that the teleprompter was AWOL. No, he was using one. Great staff work Joe but surely you should know despite a teleprompter malfunction that former Senator Corzine (a colleague of yours), and one of the biggest donors in Democratic history is the Governor of the great garden State of New Jersey.

It was not a total loss for the Democrats however. Chairman and part-time Virginia Governor Tim Kaine helped the DNC raise $1 million at the 10^th Annual LGBT Council Fundraiser. Good for them, they are going to need it.

Imagine if Governor Palin had made such a statement “ I can see Virginia from New Jersey” would be all over the news but Biden’s teleprompter misstatement has been largely ignored, of course except for bloggers and other non-mainstream media.

I love Joe Biden. He’s free entertainment. You’ve just got to look at his ‘performances’ on YouTube drunk as all hell. My personal favorite is him singing about The Villages down in Florida which I have had the good fortune to stay several times. Perhaps you have seen the ads on FNC…

Yup, there’s our VP – a heartbeat away from being the Leader of the Free World.

The one good and ironic thing is that New Jersey and Virginia are the only two States in the Union to have Gubernatorial elections this coming November. One hopes that Joe will be out there campaigning for Kaine in New Jersey and Corzine in Virginia.
